I grew up in a small village in the UK and after I graduated from university, I moved to Vietnam to teach English in 2017. I met a ton of South Africans there and made firm friends with some Capetonians.

Fast forward to 2021. I was back in the UK and had been stuck there for a while thanks to the pandemic. I decided to take a 3-month trip to Cape Town… which turned into an incurable obsession with the place.

I really do think that Cape Town is a severely underrated place, especially among the digital nomad community. And sure, like anywhere, it has its problems, but it also offers an incredible lifestyle that you just can’t find in many other cities.
